Students will be doing a Web Quest presentation on South America's Amazon Rainforest. The objective is to learn about a different country and it's wildlife, the environment and the effects of the nature and man has on that environment. They will understand what unusal  animals liveand thrive in the rainforest and that many are either on the threatened or endangered list. By completion of this project I hope to instill the meaning of what we as human beings do to the environments and its inhabitant. This should stress the nature of how we a peaple hold the lives of many species in our hands. The Web Quest power point explains all processes and grading scale for the students and their teams.

          This lesson is on the United States. It is based on its geographic location, regions and physical map. Each student will be learning about USA's etiqutte, the history of the American flag and the importance of honoring American pledges. Graphic organizers will be used to enhance the understanding of learning about individual states symbols and why there is a difference. This lesson should instill the concept of learning respect and honoring every countries symbols.
